About the Pictures in the Book

We approached elementary schools from across the country and asked them to have their students submit pictures, stories and poems that reflected their feelings and responses surrounding the events of September 11th, 2001. The many touching submissions we received made our job of choosing which ones would go in the book a difficult one. The following pictures are the ones we chose to illustration the book.
